The application collectively will work with MKV files, but also often with MPEG, AVI, MP4, H.264/AVC, Dirac, VC1, Real Video, and OGG/OGM. View the meta data associated with a MKV file and make changes to the meta data where desired. Access Matroska MKV video files by loading them into the utility. MKVToolnix is not so much a program as a collection of utilities that help when working with Matroska MKV video files.
